Today is Sesame Street Day, marking the anniversary of its first broadcast on 10th November 1969.
I love Sesame Street. They're so inclusive...
Telly Monster mightn't be the best looking monster on the block, but he did have a pet hamster... so couldn't be all bad. The hamster was originally called Herman, but when it had babies her name was changed to Chuckie Sue.
My humans needn't worry...I'm definitely a boy...
Those lovely Sesame Street folks didn't just have one hamster. In another episode a space craft crash lands in on Planet H and, wonderfully, Hopalong Hamster was in charge there.
Unusually, I'm looking forward to tomorrow. It's a Saturday, after all, and my humans will be cluttering up the place. However, it's also Origami Day.
My littlest human likes to make things out of paper so I'm hoping that she'll try to make an origami hamster. I've found a few patterns she could try. Maybe you could make a few paper hamsters too.
