Yes, 25th May is Geek Pride Day. Not to be confused with Greek Pride Day.
Although there were events in Albany, New York from 1998 to 2000, organised by Tim McEachern, Geek Pride Day as we now know it was first celebrated in 2006. Spanish blogger, Germán Martínez, aka señor Buebo organized it all. But if you’re a geek you do have certain responsibilities as their manifesto details. I’ll share some of them with you here:
