and enjoying the weekend.
I know my humans are out and about today so there'll be plenty of peace and quiet. Hurray!
The haiku I posted last week didn't really express my emotions or behaviour. No biting here! I needed a verse to highlight my introversion and my love of snacking. I had to resort to trying to put a few rhymes together myself.
Little hamster sits
In the dark waiting for them
To leave him in peace.
They haven't got the hint yet that I want to be left alone...
From sleep I awake.
Wait for the light to go off
To claim the snacks left.
Bright eyes, cheeky look,
Spies a dish of tasty treats.
Run, fill cheeks and hide.
And this is for the youngest human in my family, who posed with my in her Brownie uniform in the photo above.
Whiskers twitch, eyes stare.
There’s a human girl out there.
