Canon E. Lupton, Rector of St Cuthbert’s Church, Blackpool, who has just celebrated his sacerdotal jubilee, has been presented by his parishioners with a cheque for £300 as a mark of their respect and appreciation of his services.
The Canon, who has spent 47 out of his 50 years of priesthood at St Cuthbert’s wishes the money to be used not as a personal gift but for the purchase of two white marble statues for the church.
