Title: Special service to mark church's golden jubilee
A well-known Blackpool church is celebrating its golden jubilee on Sunday.
And to mark the event, Our Lady of the Assumption RC Church is holding a special service of thanksgiving.
Many ex-parishioners are expected to attend the service which will be held at the Common Edge Road church at 4pm.
It will be followed a buffet and an evening's entertainment in the school hall.
A series of photographs showing the church being built 50 years ago will also be on display. The buffet will start at 5.30 pm. Entertainment has been arranged from 7pm onwards.
