Highfield Methodist Church - Key Dates

  1. Highfield Wesleyan Methodist Church was founded.
  2. The current Highfield Wesleyan Methodist Church opened on the corner of Mayfield Avenue and Highfield Avenue (now called Scarsdale Avenue) on 25 March 1938.
  3. Four groups of foundation stones, seventeen stones in total, were laid in the new church hall.
  4. Highfield Methodist Church joined with Lindale Methodist Church and Waterloo Road Methodist Church to form South Shore Methodist Community Church.
