The Blackpool Herald on 14th April 1882 contained the following article:
The annual sermons on behalf of the Adelaide Street Sunday School, Blackpool were preached on Easter Sunday by the Rev. Josiah Mee of Bolton.
In the afternoon he delivered an interesting address to the children of the Sunday School. A special selection of hymns, which had been prepared for the occasion, were sung by the scholars, under the direction of Mr Carter.
The attendance at the three services was very good, and the collection for the day amounted to over £26.
